i dont understand why this button is there? ontop of the steering a column a parker light button which does exactly the same thing as tho you had turned the parkers on, lights in cab dim- and parker+ spotties if selected turn on... anyone else find this wierd?

No, not weird at all. Had the same on my 92 RS Liberty. It's there for use when you have the ignition switched off. Put it to use yesterday when I was having a tow bar installed.

i would prefer it if it turned the parkers on without dimming the instruments- then i could drive with my spotties on all day long!

Just hit the "Bright" button near the clock.

Or turn the illumination knob up to the highest setting if you have a later model with no "Bright" button... :)

That bright button is so annoying! I wish it stayed illuminated forever.. I've heard people say the illumination can't get low enough but I personally prefer it on the highest setting, just find pressing the bright button every time i turn my headlights on annoying as!
