For daily driving I reckon you've got one of the best compromises between power, torque and smoothness

Throw a corner into the mix and those air vents will eat humble pie

Yeh in all seriousness i think some more noise = cat back exhaust as you dont need a tune with that.

I think some coils, sways etc and a nice set of 20x10's should complete it.

I think some chev badges, more chev badges and just for performance some chev badges. maybe further down the track some southern cross stickers.

When’s the cam, exhaust and tune happening?

That should keep you entertained until you save the big bananas for the twin turbo kit

Hahahaha dont encourage me!!

I have a mate who has a vy/vz 6.0L ute. Shift kitted auto, bigger diff , exhaust , cams, springs and a tune.!!

Runs consistant 11.8's down the quater and will stand on the spot in 4th no problems!! All with 311 rwkw's

So exhaust, intake, cam and tune should easily get me the same!

My weapon of choice prior to the liberty was VY SS, which had some minor work …….. didn’t get a chance to fit the twin turbo low mount set up the engine was built for but still had some fun with 340kw+ at the rears…..Pity the blooding thing only went in straight lines.

I sold the car to a guy who saw it on the dyno as we were finishing up the tune ….. long story short, he made an offer no one would refuse…… I’ve since heard the engine was transplanted into VN SS Group A .
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

So for anyone who cares...... i know you all do deep down .

Just a "little" update for the HSV

As most of you know that my Lib was far from reliable amd i bought the stock HSV out of frustration for a reliable car.

We my 31,000k HSV had it oil pump fail on me with the entire family in the car. At first it was ok, just loosing pressure (has an oil pressure gauge) on idle. Loooooong story short , Holden wanted $2,000 to do the oil pump replacement but i found a good rep place to do it for $1400....

He rang me with good and bad news. Oil pump is great and no dramas there. But good old holden ran my motor with no oil pressure and have done damage to my heads. Dont know the full extent yet as he cant pull it down till he is back from holidays on the 5th January.

But he did say cam, valves, push rods and tappets will.most likely be fucked.....

YEY to me and the RELIABLE hsv.

Rant over. :angry2:

Mate that's ridiculous.

You bought from a dealer though so you should be covered under warranty?
