Hazza,

Can you list the part no's for the patch harnesses (steering wheel control & ISO) that you buy ?

I too have a preface lift specB and am looking at the Pioneer AVH-X8650BT.

Still deciding if I use the original Mac amp or update the amp. (Freeway Car Audio in Dandy, reckon they have been able to utilise the mac amp with aftermarket head units)..

Michael installed my headunit and amp today.
Firstly I must say that he is a gentleman and a great bloke. I want to say a big THANKYOU and I am extremely stoked of his workmanship. Michael you have exceeded all my expectations, even the misses gave the thumbs up :D
You know your stuff around installing systems and our Subaru's. You have guided me with what to buy and answered all my silly questions. LMAO

Now I have to tackle by installing the new firmware to get APP PLAY working.

I am glad I didn't attempt this myself cause it would of taken me days to complete. Thank you so much Michael.

Appreciate the words Harry.

Let me know how you go with the firmware update and getting AppMode to work. Would have loved to see it in action as I haven't really played with the newer headunits out. I'm more an sound quality guy and once I'm happy with how it sounds I keep it as is (why I had the Alpine W502 for so long and why I have a Pioneer P99 now).

If you have any issues, let me know and I'll be glad to sort them out!

I'm sure the drive home was much better than the drive over! Enjoy it!

App mode and Car play works great with my iPhone 6.

Especially car play when you can use google maps for navigation, spotify for any music and voice recognition for messages, voice calls and navigation through Siri.

I will try take pics very soon

looks great mate! I'm keen to upgrade headunit, amp and sub eventually but im a bit daunted with the amount of wiring there might be behind the headunit for the 12 speakers. Once you got that adapter was it just plug and play, or were you endlessly soldering still?

In my gen 3 it was basically rip it out and splice and I got it sounding just how i wanted it but I'm not really sure where to start on my 2006 H6 haha

12 speakers = 5 channels. Front left/right rear left/right and sub.
