shav wrote:GONEWALKABOUT - Not sure what the B6 struts are, I'll have to look into it. It will come down to costs. If the price for Billies is anywhere near Koni adjustables, I'll go for the Koni's. For me to go Billies the price will need to be worth it. Also will be looking at new items not second hand suspension with for e.g.100,000km on it for me to rebuild later. Just dont want the hassle and dont have the time to fart about.

This isn't really an update, but more a plan of attack for my car for the future.

I know I have been procrastinating about suspension, wheels and god knows what else. So here is what I plan on doing so I can keep track of these intentions over the course of 12-24 months.

- Buying rear lip spoiler, new grille and eye lids
- Getting grille, front lip spoiler, rear lip spoiler, front and rear bumpers resprayed as well as some marks on the bootlid and drivers front guard fixed & sprayed.
- Car engined serviced, trans cooler fitted, transmission service, CV boot clamps replaced, sway bar bushes replaced.
- exhaust mufflers to be readjusted to fit under the rear bumper better. (currently stick out too far for my liking, also may look into quad tips welded to mufflers in lieu of single)
- Suspension upgrades (Strut/lowered spring combination due to insurance reasons) brands yet to be determined.
- New wheels and tyres fitted. (Looking at getting 19's)

Once the above is fully done, I will be looking at an upgraded TMIC & BOV, then getting it retuned. I will not be pushing the power beyond these mods. There will be no intention for me to change turbo unless the stock turbo gives out for some reason, then a VF52 could replace it. But that will be the limit. No E85 intentions either.

I think these will be the only things that will change. I will just drive the car and enjoy it.

Smart/solid plans :)

Thanks guys.

GONEWALKABOUT - Will do mate. Never liked how far the muffler tips stick out so I will get them modified to tuck under the rear bar better. It should improve the look of the rear somewhat. I reckon it's a possible design flaw from manufacture, who knows. It shouldn't be difficult for a professional exhaust shop to rectify.

Alexei - Cheers mate. Just want my ride to be clean and nice. :D
Cheers

I reckon I may have found some rims I like the look of. They are 19"s, but have a dish and I like the look of them. 19x8 +42, 5/100 fitment. Advanti Nova's.

Those are at their Melbourne HQ.
But I do use the IM/Yahoo JP auction site a lot, even if mostly dreamin

Eg automotive > parts > wheels and tyres (or wheels) > diameter > 5 hole > search for eg "100 35" then "100 36" and up, I like to search by PCD and offset.
(thats top secret info of course) :P

And always get a quote from http://www.jessestreeter.com

Noooooooo!

Quick update.

Got the eyelids, grille and PU bootlip spoiler (from Moey). Will be chatting with a painter in the next week or so for a quote to get touch ups done on the car, plus get all these parts painted and fitted. Stay tuned

haha, sorry Nathan. Yeah Im hoping it should all come together nicely.

Just out of curiosity, should I get all of those parts color matched, or should I keep something in plain black to contrast?
Cheers

Good pickup shav, I vote for colour coded eyelids it would give cleaner look imo

Colour matched looks best imo, especially on a dark car

Nice pickups btw

Thanks Bryce and Daniel. That's my conclusion also. I reckon the color coded look wins hands down. Although, do you think I should color code the front lip or respray it gloss black?
Cheers

I would go black for the lip, colour coded lips can make the front look too tall
again just my opinion :)
