When I purchased my Spec B the clutch was very low to the ground, and was often sinking close to the floor in the mornings, which meant I actually had to lift the clutch up with my foot and then press in to engage a gear.
When I put this into Subaru, they claimed that it felt like a Slave Cylinder or Master Cylinder issue and that the clutch was not genuine - I just have 100k on the clock. I mentioned it should have an adjustment but they claimed it did not have anything.
When I rebooked this in to have it looked at when the Service Manager returned from leave or something, it turned out that the clutch had been adjusted too low, and that there was no tension in the spring.
When I received the car back, it was like a new clutch. Quite high up from the floor, just like how a Suby should be. Even the Mechanic said this is how all Subaru's are.
Obviously somebody hasn't liked the high clutch point and has had the clutch adjusted lower to the floor.
If you are thinking about doing this, be careful as mine actually started slipping to the point where I was losing power, and the car smelled like burning clutch.
