Hi Tim,

Michal here from LegacyGT.com.

Another set of EZ36D headers installed (and first set tuned on-car using Ecutek) in the US.
This time with Al and Rob @ AutoMaster/AMR in Danbury CT.

The car put down 262hp (~296bhp/221kW) and 461Nm on a DynoDynamics set of rollers (latest software) in Shootout mode.

Torque gains are an impressive 136Nm (~42%) over stock! Power is up ~40bhp (~14% as you predicted).
The engine really wakes up above 4K RPM and the dreaded 3.2-3.5K RPM torque dip is gone.

The additional set of flanges (flange spacers) you sent via Giovanni helped eradicate all clearance issues with the 26mm FSB.

See here for some pics of the custom header-back exhaust built by AutoMaster and some videos of your creation at play.

I posted comment on the EZ36 header section, but thanks again. Totally independent reporting is 100% the type I like.

Possibly dumb question, but if the headers are 2.25" at the flange, why go with 2.5" piping from there back?

Not a dumb question at all.

We opted to go with 2.5" piping for a few reasons:

1. Mandrel bending machine was already setup for 2.5" (re-fitting for 3" or 2.25" would take hours and the shop had no 2.25 core on hand)
2. Magnaflow Catback on the car for 40K miles is 3" (makes more sense to go 2.25 -> 2.5 -> 3; than 2.25 -> 3")
3. Stock cat housing weld lines were an almost exact match for 2.5" piping

But yes, 2.25" piping all the way back would be fine or 2.25 -> 2.5 all the way back.
Plenty wide for the NA 3.6R.

Its a very interesting combo and size choice and the results say you are not wrong in the least.

Its not precisely what I would have went with - but the proven results and heaps of low and mid torque in the driving experience are the kind of results we all want. This here is how its done!

This is real progress on the 3.6.

Better scavenging from the header as it helps the gas expand into the pipe
