Hey there all,
For me I'm unsure but this may seem to be quite a dumb question...
If I were to increase my alloy wheel size from 16" to 18" would my car be raised by much? And would much clearance within the wheel arch be reduced? (hoping for second... I currently drive an OB - love the height but not the few Inch gap between top of wheel and wheel arch...
Tyre wise I'm currently running - 215/60R16 M+S, If i were to move up to an 18" wheel I'd preferably like to keep that size of side wall so the tires to go on the 18" will probably be along the line of - 215/60R18...
Thank-you, I'm sorry if I've made no sense..

To Change from 16s to 18s you would need to put thinner wall tyres. Otherwise your wheel circumference will be so out compared to stock and your speedometer will be out by quite a bit.
With 18s your wheel arch won’t look as big because there will be more rim then tyre. But if you wanted less physical gap you would need to put different springs.
Hope that's some sort of help. Other members probably have better explanations.

i think technically if you kept the same tyre profile with 16s and 18s then because the point of attachment is in the middle when you put the 18s on you would be 1inch higher off the ground but the wheel would also be 1 inch closer to the top of the wheel arch. But that is not the best way to get that low look haha
if you were to go 18s you would probably want something more like 225-235/45r18
