legend.

Thanks Ben. That's a lot better than I thought. Will budget for this come next service. Im trying to raise funds for coil overs to be fitted at the same time. If not coil overs then some replacement shocks and springs for cheaper.

Coils eh? Do let me know your choice :D

haha. Will do Patrick. Leaning towards the BC BR's or Kido coilovers.

After reading and researching, I wouldn't go with these, I'd either go with billies and springs (for a cheaper, better, but still compliant ride), or shockworks for a properly setup car

I dont think there is anything wrong with them per say but they are a budget part and you get what you pay for. It will give you a stiffer ride, up and down and body roll when compared to springs + strut. Which is fine depending on you want.

Thanks guys. Well at this point, I need to reinvestigate the options. I really want to maintain ride quality as much as possible, but improve handling more. So if coilovers can give me this, then all well and good. If some performance shocks and springs can do a better job, then I'll go down that path. I do not track the car, but I do like the occasional hills sprint at speed. So it needs to handle what I give it. If that makes sense.
Cheers

while out of my budget for the moment +1 to the shockworks they look the business. will give >triple the ride quality of a BC haha. Coilovers will pretty much always give better handling unless you get an amazing spring and strut.

Dont get wrong, I love the shockworks coilovers but at 2k its a lot of coin to spend for someone semi serious like me. Other option is to just get quality shocks and keep the stock springs.

pretty much, just weigh up cost vs function vs need. I personally would go coilovers as ride stiffness doesnt bother me and i dont have a family to cart around and complain and the big advantage is adjustable height. plus you can say you have coilovers and sound like a race driver

haha, thats true. Im probably a bit too old for that though. Love the look of a lowered car, hate the trade off. Plus yeah, here in SA we got crappy roads so you would feel every bump. I might even opt for some Koni adjustables and be done with it.

True, but I need to get new shocks soon. Current ones are making noise and dont feel as nice as they once were. I might just go get them checked out to be sure.

Depends on price? Can be a bit badly programmed....slow compression is pretty poo stock I think.

I've seen some coilovers do a fantastic job of keeping the ride smooth. Hopefully those shockworks everyone is yacking on about are good at that. Perhaps you should go and see someone who has them installed when they come out?
