Speedy carbine in slick silver would be the most classy look. ;)

shav!!! long time!

i see the time has come for you to choose the colours ay

i ended up with gunmetal when i was choosing wheels.

having said that, i like how some of the diamond grey guys have used OBP or gloss black on their wheels.

silver is contrast...but i seem to prefer the murderous look. dark on dark on dark. :D

Are you saying to sell them, or don't opt for new wheels?

Thanks Patrick. I like the murdered look too, but am afraid it could look over cooked.

Oh right. Cheers. I do like them, always have. But was thinking a bit outside the square and thinking coz I need new tires soon, should I upgrade the wheels at the same time. Not just that I wanted to get something a little wider to help with handling a bit more. Im not desperate to change the wheels, just looking at options at this point.

In fact, I could just look at improving the suspension first with some coil overs and then make a decision after regarding wheel choices. Hmm decisions :?

Here's a quick mockup. Note the lighting on the donor photo isnt the best, so I think the rims would appear a little brighter in person, but gives you an idea ;)

Carbine only come if matt black, which will look cheap and shitty. Matt black is a $20 rattle can job on stockies, not for new wheels.

I refuse to photoshop that :P

oh really? Fair enough. I thought they were gloss. Hmm. I really prefer the gloss black look.

In your opinion, do you think new wheels make an improved visual difference or does it look too similar to the Spec B rims? Should I wait and get coil overs first and then look at the wheels later once the suspension is where I want it to be?

PS - how did you go with your front grill on your golf?
Cheers

The wheels are the biggest visual impact on a car.
Personally, whenever you're due for tyres, do wheels at the same time. If thats before $$ is available for suspension, do it then. Suspension can be changed after wheels/tyres. That's what I did with the GTi ;)

As for the grill (and stereo) - neither is installed yet. No time lately between work and family.

I agree with the visual impact statement. Hence the level of procrastination Im showing. haha I want to make sure what ever is chosen looks right.

Speedy carbine is the pick of the wheels, and slick silver will be top finish. Having seen them in person, they are more of a "light" hyper black than a brilliant silver. Very nice wheel

Based on the wagon picture I posted up on the page before, I tend to agree. Would you buy them from ebay or somewhere more reputable?
