challenge was to do it all in one shot - no multi composites or layering.

i get that, but i think its quite simple to do with one frame... far too hard to layer and mess about... strobes and a good eye and your off!

finally bought a new lens for the camera! I've only been able to get out for a quick snap. been playing around with film cameras. a lot of fun. i didn't realise i knew so little about photography! haha. just when you become complacent with digital, jump in the film boat and figure it all out manually. trying to fix my Rollei C35 after i snapped the winder mechanism.
but i got this with the new lens on the D600

It totally makes sense if you think about it... Others were using monoblocs (bad t.1 cycle times) so they couldn't freeze it except for with the shutter.

Plus, I only get one shot at this because I can only do it when the car is still dry!

I haven'tused my elinchroms since i got my pocket wizards... great recycle times, and very flexible...

And yeah, i thought the same about the car being dry.

Ive got a stroboscopic shoot of a golfer coing up... should be cool...

Looking to upgrade (not in a huge hurry) and hoping for a Canon 5D mark III. When the IV comes out next year, how much would we expect to see III bodies go for? Or would i be better off getting 6D or maybe a mark II? Let's just say it's for semi-pro to professional work?

Beaut photos Jack, I really like nature photos actually... I do a lot of bushwalking/hiking myself and there's so many great scenes/subjects to photograph. Here's one I took at Thirlmere Lakes beginning of June. Turned out great considering using just a compact zoom type camera I thought. :D

Don't really have any automotive stuff to add, plenty of snow and landscape though.
