Put up a broken window

Postby Nikko » Tue Oct 14, 2014 1:35 pm

Hey gents,
So my driver side window has cracked it and stopped working halfway up. How do I put the window back up for the mean time and and suggestions on the solution to the issue? All other windows still work from the driver control. I'm in a 98 liberty bilstein edition

Take off the door card and have a look at the mechanism - it's quite possibly jammed. You should be able to unjam it and get it to go up.

Disconnected some bolts which allowed me to move the whole motor and window, over around a bit, reattached. No luck. Can't seem to find any jam as such. Motor Is only giving a small click which is delayed after pressing the window switch.

1. replacing the window motor ~$100
2. if/ when youve done that check that none of the sliders (square plastic cubes) have slide off the rails.
