Thanks GB

Will try some dampening and see how it goes

Its gradually getting worse though. Is that possible if its only a dampening issue?

hard to say without driving your car, I put a meter of hose on and it still has the issue, my car has the factory dampeners on it too.

I wonder what pumps are those guys using. Are these bigger pumps making the issue worse

Mick can you put another fuel pump in ?

And or could you them flash a base tune and see if issue is still evident. This might help eliminate process

On older cars they have a vacuum advance when under load ,what does the Subaru use in placement of this ?

Haven't touched the car to try fix the issue yet

What I've decided is I'm swapping my rear housing on the gtx3076 to a 0.63 (currently 0.82)

The 0.63 is better suited to a 2.0 litre for street driving / track work

Ill be sacrificing around 15-20kw atw at worst, but will pick up a good 300-500rpm of spool and better transient response I reckon, which to me is worth the trade off

I have even made an offer to swap my gtx3076 with the gtx3071 that Chook has so waiting for him to let me know. My reasoning here is the gtx3071 will be better suited to my 2.0 litre (and still make 450-475whp on my setup) with a further improvement in spool (say another 200-300rpm from the gtx3076); the upside for Chook is with his 2.5 litre that is soon to have some more work, the gtx3076 with 0.82 will be better suited to make more power without hitting surge line, but will leave it to him to decide.

Will be doing the v band conversion on headers to uppipe at the same time (as the whole thing would need to come off anyway) and I will resurface all the flange faces on the uppipe and twist mount adapter at that time too to rule out any pre turbo exhaust leak.

Car will be up for sale again I think once the turbo housing is changed in the next couple of weeks. I just don't drive it enough to warrant keeping it and with my schedule these days I don't get much time to track it. Its only seen 1 track day with the current setup so maybe a new owner will enjoy it more.

Want to make it more street friendly (thus the smaller housing to bring on spool sooner) , eliminate the surge issue which I'm 90% sure GB is right with (fuel dampening issue), then do some minor touch ups cosmetically before offering for sale.

Haven't purchased the shockworks coilovers yet and most likely won't at this stage unless I don't get a buyer

If anyone is interested pm me for price
