Repairing an old school radio 1960s

I would like to put an inline fuse but not sure what type to use and where it connects too ?

I'm currently un ceasing pots

surely an inline fuse is just that... inline ie cut the wire and put it in the middle.

Not sure how specific a fuse has to be as long as their for the right gauge or power rating

As its in the 60s there is simy a neg and pos wire

12v radio is....

So not sure shay type of fuse to install and where

usually goes in the positive wire from memory as its cutting to much power to the device. otherwise radio bye bye.

edit: i would guess then a 12v fuse from the positive wire connecting the power

This is right.

Back of radio says 15 ohm for speakers (only two wires) but can't get sound :/

haha the hell is 15ohm back in teh 60s!

Ahh well i guess radio 101 means there should be two wires per speaker unless im missing something. Is there spots for more wires or is that it..

Yes just two speaker wires out back of it...

Just can't get any sound I've hooked up a speaker but nothing..all I can see is a label on unit that says 15 ohm

Any clues mate ?

all wires connected? might need a full circuit or input from all wires eg accessory wire (no idea what wires if any are on the back)

EDIT: might try using a multimeter to test if any wires are broken, if not may be some dodge hardware/ connection inside some where

Chuck a pic up of the wiring setup
Try using the ground wire as a negative for the speakers and the other 2 as positive for each speaker....just an idea. Multimeter would be best bet

Here you go I'm not sure what you meant re grounding speakers

One is a neg other black is antenna wire

Yes very old but restoring it just no sound :/

mmm best bet is to get a multimeter and check that power is actually getting to the speaker

If I have unit on and connect speaker wire while it's on I can hear it crackle...
