best place to source oil pan for 6MT?

Postby Brunsy3.0 » Sat Sep 27, 2014 3:01 pm

Hey All

My 6mt transmission oil pan plug is rounded off and unsalvageable my mechanic tried every trick besides a lot of heat and a big hammer to get the plug out but says it has been overtightened waaaay too much so basically im up for a new oil pan which via darwin subaru is only 110 buckaroos. After some searching of the part number some places overseas sell this part for much less. The part number though on some sites changes slightly to what was claimed on NASIOC to be a superseeded model any clarification would be highly appreciated and also of the part I am chasing if I can get it a lot cheaper than quoted I would be stoked

Part number subaru quoted to me 31225AA001
Apparent superseded number 31225AA010

Cheers

I would have removed the pan and drilled the old plug out, then replaced the plug with a replacement one?
Anyway, on Opposed Forces.

Pan is $36.69 + freigh.

Also, according to the Opposed Forces diagram comes with a plug and washer - spose you could always just get another plug just in case .
