Pre-tune: 128kW at the wheels

Postby tangcla » Wed Aug 20, 2008 5:04 pm

Due to some slight difficulties (we didn't have the right bypass plug and we didn't want to take the chance of shorting the wrong connector) we couldn't tune - so we set the groundwork for a tune on Saturday.

Pre-tune, 128.5kW in 4th gear, 131.2kW in 3rd gear.

Did you know 4th gear goes to 240km/h?? We almost fried the transmission fluid, haha. No wonder it's dyno'd in third for autos!

Front/rear bias is approx. 70/30 contrary to popular belief, says the dyno - managed to get it to 49/51 at the end of our ramp though.

Don't you need a bypass for one? i.e. not in diagnostic mode, you bridge one side of the connectors?

Also depends on dyno though, I mean, the numbers I got are nothing to brag about to dyno queens (all my focus is on low-midrange) but it feels a lot nicer to drive :)
