2008 Liberty auxiliary in DIY or pay a pro?

Hello all,
First post super NOOB here.
Just bought a 2008 liberty wagon, Heritage edition. Noticed it had an AUX button on the head unit got excited and read the manual only to find a filler a cap where the "factory" option cable should come out
I thought I found a post on these boards with instructions/tips for installing/cable options but in true NOOB style I can't find it again.
Have telephoned 3 car audio joints, 2 said they would call back, never did, and the last one just said he was not interested.
If I could find the cable/info on the pin layout I could make one myself, I thought I saw someone had already done this on these boards.
Otherwise if it turns out to be out of my league I'm willing to pay someone with the skills to do it for me. Any recommendations? live in the inner west, Sydney.

Is this about the install of the aux jack and cable in the centre console.

If so, Subaru charged me about $20 to install it when I bought the cable off them.

Yes I'm talking about the AUX in on a 6 stacker cd Head Unit.
I just spoke with Sydney Subaru and they quoted me $125.98 for the car and 137.50 for the install.
Seems super step for a cable that is probably no more than $10 of components. Does any one have this cable they could photo so. I could re-make?

The $125 is for a cable and a lttle 3.5mm jack that fits into the centre console.

Installation is a piece of cake.

If you don't mind not having an OEM look, then I think an AUX in can be added by following this.

Personally I'd go for a Grom, Anycar link, etc, SQ is much better, and you get BT connectivity FTW.
