OBD II Not Working

Postby harry101 » Tue Jul 22, 2014 10:12 pm

Hey guys,
I have a problem with my OBD port on my 2006 Subaru liberty, I plug the OBD II in and it simply doesn't work it lights up for a second then suddenly goes off, I know the device works as it has been used on this car before and recently on other cars. I've been told to check the fuses and I have nothing seemed to be wrong I was just wondering what else it could possibly be and thoughts or ideas?

Common to have damaged OBD2 pin sockets in the wiring loom.

The socket is clipped or screwed into trim or a bracket and can be released to allow easier inspection.
