Well i just came in here to post !! Great minds.

He has managed to get a camera down into cyl 3 and its filling up coolant from the top and the bottom of the bore. And when its coming from the top of the bore its coming from the entire rims of the sleeve, so the sleeve has dropped!!

FUARK!!

So it a new block, gasket set, bearings and head gaskets at a minimum.!!

He has said that he wants to do a sleeved 2.5L properly with him getting all the work done.

I mentioned the ej207 stroker 2.35 idea and he liked that, but thinks the 2.5L would suit daily driving better.

But im more concerned about relaibility then torque.

Spent the day pulling all the engine accessories off so the mechanic can remove the motor tomorrow and start stripping it to find out what has happened.

There is alot of talk about a stroked ej207 ver10 revision b to a 2.35....

Thanks, But im NOT buying another persons built motor or block or anything. This is the reason im in the situation by trusting someone else's build and word.

It will be done from a fresh block and done by my builder from start to finish and wont be happening again.

What did the mechanic say that might have caused it ?

He said there is very little signs of detonation marks, so its not a tune thing. Its not a boost issue ( only 14 something psi at peak power and 18 at peak pressure )

He said it was just either a shit block and or shit sleeve and install .

Either way, im fucked and up for another build.....ASS FUCK.

No not yet.

He said he will continue stripping it and see what else or if anything else is fubar!!

But i will be replacing the bearing anyway, may as well.
