Hmm. I would be inclined to use an engine builder closer to you. Word on the street is Leigh Bird at Deshele knows his shite. And, He is reasonably priced. I remember seeing a closed deck I beamed 257 for under 7k. All new bits with 14mm studs.
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.

I have good internals that dont need to be wasted. But will wait and see what happens when the motor comes out.

What parts are used in those engines? All they say us forged pistons forged rods and race bearings! That sounds dodgy

I personally can't remember what the parts are, but I know they're the same parts Leigh uses in his WRX which holds the ¼ mile record for fastest street-registered WRX... I'm going to go with them being decent...

I'd still want to know what they are. Regardless of what Leigh uses

Memory is saying Mahle rods and King bearings...
I'll get back to it as a buddy has one in his SF Forester with a Dom 3.0 being tuned right now

EDIT:
Here's the spec list:
Deshele built 2.5L, closed deck, sleeved, 14mm headstuds.
Manley 100mm pistons
Brian crower rods
Acl race bearings
Sti nitrated crank
Modified 11mm oil pump for more flow
Modified Oil Filter bolt for Z9 filter
99 forester heads
Brian Crower 280 Cams
Brian Crower titanium valve springs
02 Sti manifold
Custom made TB AL spacer
Custom loom for coil on plug setup
High flow fuel rail kit
Injector Dynamics 1300
Blouch Dominator 3.0 XTR turbo
Process West TMIC, with silicon Y-pipe and ducting
Group buy SFB and silicon inlet
Grimspeed 3 port boost controller
Haltech Platinum Sport 1000 ECU
EL stainless header

Clearly my memory affected by perhaps one or twenty too many beers on one or more than one occasion

The bearings ACL, pistons - Manley.

The question I'd be asking is - it can easily hold the power, but how many kms/years will it last as a daily driver?

Sean seems to be liking his OEM 207
Running no. of weeks without breaking something in the lib: 0

Yeah something like that

As for power, I'm pretty sure this is the same bottom end a number of Deshele-engines making 450+ use...

bass_straitener wrote:As part of your previous build, did you make any fueling mods? Parallel lines, FPR, fuel pump, injectors etc...

There is some history with regards to cylinder 3 failure and Subarus and the most likely cause.

I have found this.

http://www.carmodsaustralia.com.au/perr ... -eng-211bk

I think this is a necessary mod to do now.

These should use my stock injectors?? Or just better off going some ID1000's ( cause E85 is never gunna happen ) as that would be enough for 98 300kw atw??

With my current setup, I'm only running ID1300 with 340lph...with no after market fuel reg & parallel lines...

I would get id1000...be fine for 300kw

Oh ok, no parrallel lines.

When my car was dynoed the INJ duty cycle was 90% which has plenty of room.

Im just thinking for future power and reliability mods.... If there is such a thing.

P.S. If those id 1000's sale falls thru i will take em.
