Delivery time

The order is now partially manufactured - underway

That said, they are still 2-3 weeks from leaving the factory, closer now than a month ago :)

Hi Tim,
I know it's only been a couple of weeks since the last update, but any news on the second shipment of headers? Matt is coming over to WA around the beginning of July and I have every finger and toe crossed hoping that the headers might just make it here in time for install and then the all important tune...
Thanks.

I can confirm after recieving more information yesterday that still in process of manufacture - although more advanced stage.

All in all that's useless information for you since you need definite dates of shipping etc, it doesn't look likely at this stage to make your date, to do that they would have to be in boat now - and they surely aren't.

All that said, Matt knows how to configure tune to make good use of the headers

You can getbyour car prentuned for the headers mate, I did mine with his latest revision plus header tune back in march I think...still waiting to install my headers!

Hit him up, get the tune so when you smack them on you'll be sweet

Tim, I appreciate the update mate. Completely understand that we are in the hands of the good people in China. Just busting to get em on of course.

Chanham, thanks for heads up re pre-tune. That's perfect and solves things nicely. Won't need to fork out for a Tactrix setup just yet. Counting down the days to get the E85/header tune from Matt. I have the DW65c pump installed now and since the install my car never starts first time (even with just bought new battery). I figure Matt's tune will sort that out.

Cheers.

Update

After receiving an uncertain reply about shipping date at this very late stage of order completion action has been taken to expedite the process.

We are STILL 10 days out from shipping but at least we have got that nailed down now after some strong negotiations on the matter. Sheesh, 2 months and they wonder why I am getting antsy.........

Thanks for update and extra effort put in to get things moving Tim. Sounds like you needed a stiff drink after the "strong negotiations".

The strong negotiations pushed things into a new dimension entirely as it turns out.

I am aiming to increase supply frequency to reduce all the waiting. A solution has come to light and will be put in place ASAP

Getting headers installed next week and can't wait!

Found this will looking for install ideas:

They paired it with a full custom system and claim pretty impressive results with nice increase in mid range torque!

Probably dont bother following it too closely - it has zero improvement in the torque hole at 3300 and I know from testing that the car will drive poorly with fall. The fault for the most part is in the headers as I found out during my own R&D, the pipe primary specs are way oversize for optimum power/torque

The second major thing - you would not be able to hear yourself think inside the car, the drone would be to the max - as some have found out here by going with overly open systems.

For the most part - dont follow it, it does look pretty, but there are problems you can do without. Follow the ideas and systems that others in Australia have gone with for much larger power gains and no drone.

Thanks Tim, as you say looks like form over function. I have gone with headers and cats and retained otherwise stock system.
Also looking forward to new intake!

Update on header supply

In around 3-4 days the work of making the next batch of headers is FINALLY done.

This time around I would strongly prefer that every go with the direct debit bank transfer system (paypal not preferred)

Also, I will only go with AUSTRALIA POST this next time. Last batch we had issues with Couriers, but none with Aust Post, which has always been my experience with anything else in the past.

Not tooooo long to go now

Hi Tim, I've been meaning to ask since I got my MS set about the unequal length primary pipe(s).
I suppose you prototyped all equal then found more power/torque changing the lengths of one/all.

Let me say this - considering these headers are beyond amazing I am wondering why big name companies who are so called specialists in this field are not applying some critical gas flow concepts. It is possible I could be quite successful with redesigning headers for other vehicles along the same lines and seeing some further improvements - pipe sizing is so critical, there is only 2mm diameter difference between good and very ordinary headers for a 3.0, the length hasn't proven to be as nearly as critical, but the collector DESIGN along with correct diameter of primary and header is EVERYTHING for the most part.
