Bumping this back up.

I have found a wreck that I might be able to steal some parts from to swap across.

Is there anything I can get off the wreck which may fix this issue? Or will this cause more problems that it's worth (i.e. the Body control modules are coded to certain ECU's etc etc)

Thanks!

Hi Dane,

If you have access to a wrecked car, go to the ignition barrel & take off the key-in switch. It's connected to the barrel via 2 small screws, on the side that face's the cluster from memory.

If you don't have a stubby screwdriver, drop down the steering column off the steering beam (2 x 12 or 14mm headed bolts).

To remove the complete barrel is alot longer to do (they use snap bolts) so you need a hammer, chisel & pin punch etc to get it off.

I'd do this switch first before looking at body module (BIU).
