Spec B Rims Powder Coated

Postby swingn » Tue Aug 05, 2008 3:50 pm

Hey All!

Figured I'd post some pics of my car with the powder coated Spec B Rims.

Big thanks must go to Leo for sorting out the powder coating :D & Phil, I hope you like the end result I got with your old rims.

Close up pic of the finish in the sun, has a very nice metallic / pearlescent sparkle.

From behind... Need I say more.

Side on.

Very happy with the end result, finally doesn't look like a standard car!

Cheers

Looks great Matt! Very few people, like Leo & Adam, coat factory wheels so it certainly looks unique. Always thought you were happy with the silver Spec B wheels but this new colour makes it look more ... evil. :D

might just powder coat rather than get the shelling out big $$$ for the sti rims..

Its called Charcoal Metallic I believe. They were unable to powder coat the centre caps (Thus why I've been asking aout the STI one's) but I actually don't mind having them silver. Kind of goes with the silver & grey / black theme I'm going for 8)

Its worth around $260 for all 4 rims. Only down side is you need to have a spare set to drive around on. Takes around a week for the powder coating to be done. I'm more then happy with the result :D

looks sweet man, but then again, as jim pointed out i'm already a fan of the dark rim look..... even more so soon  .
thats a good price, i paid $440 for mine to get painted. it was strip back, two coats and a clear coat though.
see, i told you punks darker rims on a silver/grey car would look good?

Looks great Matt!

I was going to do exactly that for my car.

Glad to see the wheels were put to good use with someone else.

Rims look awesome. Really compliment the car. You should also spend a few hundred on window tint. That would really add a touch of class to the car. Go real Dark!

Thanks for all the kind words guys!

As I said, I'm very happy with the result & overall look.

At this stage I'm trying to do a black/grey & silver theme. Just don't know how far I'll push it. Can't take the carbon fibre award away from Jim  + it is still a daily driver. So it get's parked at the shops etc. Don't want to get myself too much attention
