stolen number plates

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

I had my valve caps stolen too during daylight at a hospital.

Luckly I tightened my plates with "thieveproof" ones. I got them from autobarn for about $8.00 or so. It is imposible to remove them with a screwdriver. If you have any plans of selling your car and keeping the plates, then don't install them. In Europe it's the cops and distributors who have the right tools to remove them but not in Aussie (not even autobarn can remove the plates for you).

I hope an $8 investement would save some of you guys hundreds of dollars to have plates made again.

Norm, that sucks the big one. Not only was this a waste of your time, but you ended up having to buy new plates, only to have your originals appear again. Bunch of losers whoever stole it.

But yeah, at least your plates aren't on some stolen car being used in a crime somewhere.

I don't see why you can't have the old plates back, if you just bought more with the same custom digits.
I had full size RIC323 plates on my old car. When I bought the 3RB, I just ordered some slim line RIC323 plates to go on it, there was never any question of me returning the full size ones...
