Introduce yourself

1 more for team wags

Postby scottymc » Fri Aug 01, 2008 8:58 pm

Hi All,

Just wanted to introduce myself as I'm sure I will have a few Q's as I get to know my new ride!

Have been driving a B4 for a few years, sold it last night and picked up a MY07 GT spec B wag (auto) today.

So far so good but hating the auto after a few years in a manual. Had to get an auto though so the missus can use it when I use her car to put the boat in the water! I guess I will get used to it.

Surprisingly similar in ride to the B4, just not enough noise!

I guess a resonectomy is the 1st place to begin? and slowly strart to bring it back to life!

Anyway, Hi !!

Scotty.

Why not put a towbar on the Lib? :)

Yeah, it's actually got one, but who wants to dunk a GT in the sea??

That's what they made Holdens for !! (apologies in advance to Holden fans)........... hehe

Welcome.

I read your post and thought poor bastard had a B4, then lucky bastard got a GTB wagon, then poor bastard got an auto.

Then lucky bastard doesn't have to drive the Holden.

HA HA   HA HA
Welcome fellow wagon driver, you'll enjoy it on here
& before you ask! the stupid sunroof only opens in stages & there is no way of getting it to open all the way in one go.

BRING ON THE MODS

tell me about it, that auto box does take time to get use to it.......... i can't stand driving it in full auto unless in traffic or towing.... which is most of the time :(

i found coming off the throttle before a gear change does help a little, i found this out once by forgetting once i was in an auto and came of the throttle and almost pushing my foot through the fire wall thinking my foot rest was the clutch.......
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty
