I just ordered one of these myself, would anyone know where I could get it cut for cheap? Locals have been asking for $150+ to cut a spare.

I paid ~$40 at my local locksmith.. I felt like I had been ripped off though due to the "Darwin Tax"

Any more than that is a blatant rip off.. I appreciate the fact it requires specialised equipment and that's why it is more than the normal $5 keycut, but it literally takes a couple of mins for the whole process... $150 is a joke

It makes you wonder sometimes.

I might be up Darwin next weekend for some shopping as you have bunnings. The local mitre 10 is stupidly expensive. Off topic but I looked at a cheap sawhorse set here and they wanted 75 for it so I laughed and was in Darwin bunnings and saw the EXACT same set marked normal price for 20. So I do all my shopping up there obviously

Yeah a Mr. Minit will do it, but they can't guarantee the work because of the method used.

A proper locksmith with a 'code' cutter quoted me $60 but they didn't have the Subaru Liberty code and I wasn't going to wait for their machine rep to come out to install it.
I then tried Mr. Minit and he said he's never stuffed one up, but if it does stuff up its 'not his fault'

This is Melbourne too where I suppose it's probably more competitive than Darwin

Hope that helps.

So Melbourne and Darwin have been covered. Anyone suggest a place in Sydney (west) I should use?
