Will handle nicely ;)
shav wrote:Thanks for the specs, Thats pretty close to how I want mine setup too. Its a good mix between handling and comfort. :victory:

Remind me again, did you have to roll the guards with your rims?

No guard rolling; not yet at least. Any lower and I think it'll be necessary, the front more than the rear

Rides really well I think. Having an alignment done right now, so should track better and turn in should be crisper and more direct afterwards.

When did QLD start doing JDM sized number plates?

With your bike rack I run mine round the other way so you can actually open the rear tail gate. No problems and that's carrying two big DH bikes.

Hey Adrian, it's a special order US sized plate. I'm over it though as they look too big on the front and too narrow on the rear. Haha so picky

It's a Pro Rack carrier. The one you remove the front wheel, so no issues with the tailgate. It is for my roadie my MTB gets chucked in the boot. I will get a towbar eventually for my tow bar rack.

Awesome to see another roadie with a Subby

I gotta get racks for my car. Im using the mrs tow bar and Thule bike bike carrier on her car at the moment and it does get inconvenient at times.
Cheers

I need a tow bar for my Thule carrier (Euroway G2 2-bike carrier). So much better than roof mounted ones IMO

JDM plates are the same. They totally suck and no alternatives. Can't even paint the chrome frames as they have anti-theft seals on the rear and it's a complete stuff around to get them off.

If you are after a tow bar rack check out Gripsport In Melbourne. They do a few great racks. I wish I could get them over here as even through the roof racks are rated for the DH bikes I don't like the idea of $15ks worth of bikes on the roof.

Oil change today, I took the opportunity with the oil filter off to install the Genome gauge trio I picked up about a month ago ('sandwich' plate on the oil filter location which houses the oil temp and pressure sensors.

Image

I'm really happy with it :D

Oh, I didn't have a t-piece to plumb in the boost sensor unfortunately. Trip to Bunnings or SCA tomorrow morning and that'll be fix ;)
Also found a headlight out too :X Trip to SCA or Autobarn in on the cards regardless of t-piece for boost sensor.

Yesterday I went to Rising Sun and picked up some BP/BL alloy front LCAs. I've got the offset bushes in my stock LCAs and the wheels are pushed too far forward in the guards; the tyres rub the guard liners are the front of the guards when turning quickly and the weight's forward.
Stock/non-offset bushes should sort that out. The other thing I could do is put the offset bushes in reversed and actually lose some caster (not really wanting for it...) :dntknw: Anyone else come across this problem?

The gauges look great!

I'm about to have that problem :P
I was considering reversing the camber plates so they point in and back.
The idea is it's caster on caster...

Or you could split the difference and press them in eg 45 degrees off max caster...

Which camber plate are you talking about Benny?

I am going to test fit the alloy LCAs with stock bushes and see if it moves the rims back a little in the guards. If it does, I'll consider new bushes...or probably just get an alignment and leave them in
