G'day,

Thought I'd put up a quick profile (thanks particularly due to Sym's Gen V quick profile search thread which is a great idea!)


MY12 Auto GT Wagon - Ex-Demo from a Subaru dealership up in QLD - They had the rims painted to match the STi Lip and Un-painted Grill and Roof Spoiler. Came with towbar, floor mats and boot mat.

Car was purchased over the phone on a Monday, by Friday that week when I had to fly up to drive it down to Sydney I had already made two purchases....

Purchase 1:

STi 18x8" +53 Enkei's. I was never sold on the stockies painted black... so I hit Yahoo Auctions, not much luck and STi wheels seemed expensive... thought while I was looking I'd check out Upgarage and before I could even think about it, an email had been sent to my mate in Japan to buy and then EMS them out to me.

Purchase 2:

The standard mufflers and tips look terrible... saw these on Ebay (I'm sure most of you Gen V guys did as well), as I'm new to the whole Subaru thing, I thought they were pretty well priced and I couldn't have got new ones much cheaper direct from Japan. They look great and give the car a slight note - win.

This is how it sits now (Front windows have been tinted recently). It is sitting a little lower thanks to some STi springs and is also sporting an STi Strut Brace under the hood - purchased and installed @ Garage88.

Not much planned for the future.. maybe a flash tune.... will get 235/45 tires when the time comes ... but overall quite happy with what I have for the moment.

Hopefully I can get out to a meet sometime to meet you guys!

The Enkei's were either 80,000JPY or 85,000JPY (as is, no tires) and because I wanted them asap, I forked out for 2x 20KG EMS parcels @ 25,000JPY so I guess close to $1,400AUD landed.

Welcome Gav, nice mods so far! I do recommend Kido (Matt) for a tune. He's tuned most of the Gen 5s on here, works wonders, even on n/a 2.5s! Good to see more Gen 5 owners on this forum.
