I think you're missing fear receptors.

Any scary moments?

Not really. I had a massive moment exiting the high speed left sweeper when my tyres were starting to give up. Couldn't slow down in time and speared straight off the track. No time to get scared though, got straight back out there and the following lap was my best.

So driveline is next, are engine upgrades still in the horizon?

I'm going to keep this 4AGE for the time being as I have a spare gearbox and diff that isn't broken to put in. Next track day I'll be running a set of Yokohama A050s and aiming to claim the title of fastest AE86 on Winton.

Thanks Brian! Very happy with myself
Can't really compare them. Lib is heavy and dumb, but makes up with brute power on corner exit and straight line speed. But I'm braking really heavily into corners and sometimes trail braking to keep the ass loose, whereas in the AE86 I'm pretty much flat on the throttle the whole track and keeping the car under control with steering.

Liberty did a 1'37 on semis and 200kw more atw than the 86. I decided to give up at that point and buy a dedicated track car.

4AGE power -- 272 CAMS = fun

I'm looking at one now still mounted with my 6 speed LSD box :)

Y don't you consider the GZE or TE ?

I've had GZE and TE before. I'm aiming for lap times with stock 4AGE for now, see how far I can push this little engine. When I'm confident I can't get any faster I'll be fitting another engine.

I enjoy the competition. I like being somewhere up the top driving a complete underdog of a car.
Now it looks like I'll have to sit next month out :( I've lost reverse gear and third gear and my diff is about to fall out. I had spares lined up but the guy I was buying it off sold it to somebody else....dodgy sellers
