Considering buying a new car

Postby PotentialBuyer » Tue Apr 08, 2014 11:50 pm

I am considering replacing my Lancer CE2 with a station wagon or SUV, for the prime reason being needing more in-cabin cargo space for carrying goods (like pushbikes, strollers, baby things, luggage, furniture, etc) whilst having the power to drive long distances and up steep hills (like the Blue Mountains [Victoria Pass], Great Western Highway, Jenolan Caves Road, Golden Highway, Mona Vale Road, Hume Motorway, Moss Vale Road, Princes Motorway, Galston Gorge, Hunter Expressway, New England Highway, Bucketts Way, Sturt Highway, Bells Line of Road, Pacific Motorway, etc), as well as suburban driving in Sydney.

I am considering:

Subaru Liberty 4GEN
Subaru Foresters 79V
Subaru Foresters S3
Subaru Outback 4GEN
Mazda CX-7 ER Series
Mazda 6 Series GY
Mazda 6 Series GH Series 1
Hyundai i30CW 1.6 diesel 2009-2011

As my wife and I will be driving it, we are looking for low ongoing costs and reliability.

I think for your needs nothing you have selected will be suitable .Have you considered a Hyundai Santa Fe ? some very good Santa Fe"s can be had for around for the same price you would pay for the ones you have selected
