What does impress me is when somebody with a shitbox soccer mum wagon drives it like he stole it thru the twisties every week and only managed to stack it once

Out of curiousity Owen, how much strain does running a car down the drag strip put on it?

Ive always considered taking mine to the strip but have always been hesitant. Mines an auto so id imagine brake boosting would be hard on the car.

RomeSTi took his to the drags, ran big boost on E85 and came home... go for it ;)

Do it, Adam
I took my Foz out 5 times and did a few runs each time.
Lotsa fun ;)

How accurate is ur speedo? My speedo is showing 111 when my actual speed is 100.

Also. Your speedo doesn't actually start moving for about half a second after you dumped the clutch.

Should take it to a drag strip. It will give you tangible data. Data that you can then compare with other vehicles. Other vehicles that have run down the drag strip, which is every vehicle ever road tested by a magazine. That said, they don't use trap speed, they use speed at 1320', so theirs are 1-2mph higher. You can also calculate/extrapolate your 0-100 time from the 60' and 1/8 mile time and mph!
Kinda flush. Fitment is something. ADM as F*ck.

The speedo doesn’t have anything to do with how it was timed.

The time was calculated using the log, finding 0 and 100 then subtracting the MS in the first columns from one another.

I thought someone said that the ECU knows the correct speed regardless of what the speedo displays?

Correct. Also because of the refresh rate it is possible that the car started moving between 0kph and say 11kph due to the ecu not recording movement til it had already moved. Essentially a lack of resolution

Shouldn't you be timing from the point where your clutches bites and ur wheels start spinning, and not when your speedo starts moving?
