Xforce dump pipe

Postby Newbie GT » Wed Mar 19, 2014 5:18 pm

Guy my mates xforce dump pipe has burnt away some of the firewall installation

When firewall cover pulled back there is enough clearance .

Is it ok to cut cover slightly so it won't burn ?

Thanks

Removing the fire proof matting to make more room for the dump pipe………… I see are Darwin award coming through.

Piss the dump pipe off and get some that fits that doesn’t require you remove something that was originally fitted to prevent serious heat/fire damage to the rest of the car.
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

So you asked a question, got advice you didn't like, and just did what you thought to start with anyway?

Michael South from MSR uses XForce dump pipes as I understand it. I doubt there's anything wrong with them per se, but each car does have it's peculiarities, and a part that is a perfect fit on one car may be a bit snug on another (or vice versa).
