300+whp with a slipping clutch and 8psi boost

Was able to do nearly 130kph in 3rd gear at the start but by the end of it, not even 118kph :(

Pudz RSC3.0Rb E85 Pics

Postby PUDZ RSC3.0RB » Thu Mar 13, 2014 11:23 pm

Quick E85 Dyno Update. More detailed info soon

28*C Day

All pulls in 3rd gear, trying to look after the stock clutch.

1st run on road base tune pulled 234awkw. From here Matt worked on improving low - mid range torque.

Next run 223awkw with solid torque gains.

As expected with temps rising clutch become a bit of a problem, just wouldn't hold the power above around 6000rpm.

Final few runs solid at 220awkw with significant low end torque gains. :D

Car drives awesome on the road. The E85 pull from low rpm to 7100rpm is beyond my expectations. :D

Will post more with graphs, Afr's, LV's etc when I have time soon.

Thanx again to Matt (kido-tuning) and Tim (Raptor S/C's) for ur continued support.

Edit A couple of pics from E85 Dyno

My rough guess is the dyno torque figure equates to 480ish nm at the flywheel.

Great result Grant :D , spewing about the clutch. I too have similar issues with the stock clutch, but it's still hanging on..

Hey All

Thanx for all ur noice comments and support.

As Mick said im not concerned at all about the numbers.........!!!!!! well little bit of BS here, I think I can recall mentioning earlier that 230awkw was the goal.

But it is really all about how she drives now and just enjoying the performance which to me just feels so strong. This now is plenty quick for me. :D

I do really appreciate now all u turbo guys that are running 260awkw plus, far out that must be a bit crazy n scary, no time to think, just react, change change change,
mash the brakes. Bit easier for the auto boys. :)

Hopefully ill get the graphs posted within a coupla days for those interested. Al, a coupla decent pull vids from the cabin and outside, this will take a tad longer.

Oh yeah, some more good news - put a deposit down yesty on a Mint MY09 3.0R spec B White Pearl Sedan 68,000kms - the old boy cant wait, pick it up this week.

That'll be 4 suby's in a not so large family. 8)

Regards Grant

Thanx mate, the journey to having a S/Ced H6 has been a fun and rewarding one and I can honestly say a fairly simple DIY for anyone
with some mechanical knowledge.

Having great backup help from Matt (Kido) and awesome product support from Tim (Raptor Inc) definitely helps along the way.

It would be awesome to see you inspired by the likes of MH3.0R(Mark), 3rspecb(Gino), myself and others to boost ur H6.

At its simplest the Stage 1 kit is a bolt-on, bolt-off back to stock in about 2-3hrs. Obviously a re-tune as well. :)

I say go for it mate, u will never look back.

Hey, any idea when the new clutch will be in?

What stage of clutch you will be using?
