Ok I'll reinstall an OEM sock when I double O ring my DW65c (I cannot remember if I double o ringed it or not).

The OEM intank filter bucket (which is a 100K service item) is about $98 iirc from Makin and Luby, ask for Ashley's Liberty Forum discount

If it's part 42015-AG000 (highlighted in below image) you're talking about, that price is way too high. $35 from my local dealer, or $26 FedEx'd from PartSouq.

Also unable to find a part number for the sock filter by itself, do you know it?

42072A is the part you need(filter housing for fuel pump)....42015 is the bucket only...

The sock comes with a new pump....dont think you can get it on it's own...unless you get one from ebay.....unsure of quality though...

Ahh I see. Lucky I didn't order the wrong part! The sock filter indeed only comes with new pump. Though it looks like Toyota part 23217-50100 is identical, see below.

I only see one O ring Benny

I used one and it was a very snug fit...haven't had any fuel pressure issues either. Dw recommend two, but it would be an interesting exercise trying to get the thing to lock

I was getting fuel pressure issues as I O ringed mine with 1. Then I disassembled it again and double O ringed it. Its a very tight fit. It took me and my mate to clip it back in but witha bit of man power and some patience you can get it back together. After that havent had any fuel pressure issues

Yep I saw. Good effort

I might just leave it until we have issues. A custom sized O ring will probably be the answer after that

Document the entire procedure like I (almost) did

Been running revision E (5th) for two days now. The step up from revision D was enormous, it feels like a different car!
The power delivery is much smoother, basically faultless (revision D had a couple of gaps). The rev’s climb really really quick, you have to be on your toes with the close ratio gear box and the power at higher speeds i.e. 140+ is ridiculous, it just keeps climbing..

Matt has told me that two more revisions and it will be done. If the next two are noticeable improvements over the last (which i wouldn’t doubt), the car is going to be a “soccer mum wagon” weapon! Best bit is that its still technically P plate legal, and i’m out there head to head with 07 WRX STI’s up till 140kph, and in front of FG XR8’s and VE SS’s.

Sounds like ur having a lot of fun. Awesome job with the E85 and I know Matt will be getting the best out of it for you.
