Toy envy

Postby adam » Fri Jul 25, 2008 12:01 am

had a severe case on Sunday when i went to my mates christening after party.....
except for the 19's pretty standard looking, or for the very observant, 6pot brembos with big rotors...

Image
then you look under the bonnet, those black bits are ceramic coated
and i think he said said something about forged internals...
Image

custom filter box with big pod inside..
Image

almost nothing standard anymore..
Image

apparently the biggest internally wastegated turbo available?
Image

and finally the main sewerage line... I mean dump pipe
Image
it makes 372kwatw @16 psi and they hope to run 25-6 psi with some rear suspension changes (tramping on the road) and it was slipping on the dyno too apparently..

what.. you don't think that was enough to make a guy with 2 nice libs jealous?

howz about the dirt bikes?
Image
thats my daughter..
what you can't see it the exact replica for his 3yo of the KTM between the 2 big ones..

still not enough you say?

my son (with friend) aboard his modified ducati 1098

Image

of course i was standing in front of his 3.0L X5 d to take those bike pics and there was the $15K carbon fibre push bike under the house too.....
he seriously does work really hard for all he has though..
then theres my friend with the new apartment at darling harbour, but that's another vent.. i mean thread..

I spend most of my money on booze, fast cars and women, I just waste the rest...

+1 for the 1098.

Wish I could afford one... I had to settle for the VTR1000F.

Trust me, the CBR250RR can go through twisties as fast as 600cc's & 1000cc's.

They just don't have the acceleration in the straights. Plus, I don't ride that fast :D

Mmmmm 1098, I'd be just as happy with an 848... in white, with red wheel striping please 8)

VTR's a good bike, had one a few years ago and did 94,000km on it... they are bulletproof. CBR250 and R6 should be a match for it in the twisties, R6 should actually be a bit quicker...

Cold? Was -2 in Glen Innes when we left Sunday morning, but then I did ride to work through a Tasmanian winter... THAT was cold
