It's on the washer bottle itself underneath passenger side guard

Has two plugs one for windscreen wipers one for headlight washers. Just unplug the headlight washer plug - done

Couldn't you just unplug the harness for the head lamp washer pump?

Thanks for that find Keiran. Did the two little holes and cable ties mod tonight and it worked a treat. Little thing won't be coming off now :)

I'm glad to find this thread.

I bought my car with the cap missing, bought a genuine cap from a member on this forum but then found there's no way to affix it. I used to work for Subaru so I researched with my ex-corkers and found the clip to hold the cap does not come separately - its part of the main plumbing for the washers.

So I like your mention of drilling the holes and zip tying them on. How do you actually fit them? Do you need to remove the headlight?

Just get someone to press the headlight washer button and stand out there and grab it. They are designed to be able to be pulled out by hand.

Excellent! Thanks Kieren.

I did this tonight and it sits well. Its such a basic piece of logic, thanks for sharing your idea (and the original thread link).

Michael.

Went through this a few months back. Looked at the exploded parts diagram and found where the pump was. No more streaky bonnet and no more lost covers.
