tailgate lock issues

Hi guys,

Had issues with my tail gate lock not working, after pulling it apart i found a broken wire when the loom goes through
the rubber bush in the tail gate to the body of the car.
Now it will lock but not unlock.
I pulled the whole actuator and motor apart and cleaned them both to no avail.
Any one got an actuator for sale or know where to get one other then subaru? My local subaru
don't have very good service so I'd rather not go there.

All sorted guys, self fixing vehicle....
Just came good the next day, but how long for???

Thanks for posting this.

I have a similar issue with my tailgate and it may be the same problem.

I've checked the actuator is working and using a bulb the wire (circuit) is broken when the central locking is flicked.
