Cheers. About to try put it back on (I gave the TMIC a rinse out with petrol - there was lots of oil inside...).

OK.

Before hose gasket removed (actually just before I started the car after replacing it):

After:

Small difference. The car's certainly driving better.

Today's learning view:

The car still doesn't feel right - better than it was, but not right. Still sluggish at low throttle (though usage is reported by the instantaneous usage guage as 50L/100km at barely 20% throttle position). Overall usage for this tank of fuel has been 16L/100km - worse than it was before (I've averaged somewhere around 14L/100km over the last year, and I've been trying to drive economically during this tank, so something's definitely not right.

I'm also feeling something "sliding" in what feels like the area under my feet (I heard it before I felt it - it sounds like it slides backwards when I accelerate sharply, and slides forward when I brake firmly, the sound is it hitting whatever stops it at the end of the slide).

I've got the Kobe Motorsports SFB and turbo intake to get fitted, an AVO throttle body intake coming Monday, and at least a day and a half off work next week, so I'll try get to the bottom of it all by then.

Sliding object issue resolved. It was my socket set sliding on the carpet under my seat...

Yes, I feel silly :p

LOL.

What is your tuner doing? Has he had a look at logs? What has he said?

I'm up to revision C of the tune, him having looked at close to 10 learning view outputs and having seen a few sets of logs from me.

He's being very helpful, especially since although the issue occurred after the tune, it'd be a bit of a stretch to claim the tune (as opposed to any other tune) caused the issue. Putting more boost through an intake system can sometimes make things happen, regardless of who produced the maps.

Absolutely. It really helps to have support from the logging side of things, it should make it much easier to diagnose the problem

Keep up the fight :)
