I'm liking how all the nuts are done up with the logos all on a matching turbine-like angle

Don't even mention the cheeky poke on the centre cap!

Cheers guys.

I bought another manual Gen2 Outback purely for the manual ecu and wiring loom. Ive already stripped and parted it and got my purchase price back so my parts were for free (if you discount the hours spent stripping it) :D

So in March when I have two extra cars at my disposal for two weeks, the last piece of the manual conversion will take place with the install of the manual ECU and wiring loom.

Whats the specific reason to do that?

Will it run more nicely?

There's 3 specific reasons all related to the auto ecu.

1/ I have no cruise control currently.

2/ Car rev's at about 1500rpm on idle for about 5 sec's and then corrects itself to idle at 800rpm after about three stops. Happens everytime I restart the car as the ECU has to relearn the idle control.

3/ At high rpm shifts, there's a momentary flat spot before it goes again.
