WTB [Vic]: MY07/08/09 3.0R Spec B Sedan AT

Hi All,

Have been lurking for a while, and now the time has come to buy (wife agrees we need an auto AWD sedan; I told her there's only one good option ;)).

So I'm after an MY07/08/09 auto H6 Spec B, in or near Melbourne. I had a test drive at a dealer of one with 130K which sold me on the model, but ideally I'd like <100K (still, all matches considered).

I have only seen a couple advertised (just missed one on carsales unfortunately), so I'm guessing they're rare, but i figure if anyone knows where to find one it would be someone on here!

Cheers.

I reckon you might be better off going slightly above 100,000km.......providing it has a complete service history.

100,000km service isn't cheap, and you'd be better off if someone else has already paid for it 8)

Good tip - thanks!

EDIT: Actually, may I ask why it's so exxy? Would've thought the timing chain would make the 100K service cheaper than other cars....

The fact that it is chain. A lot more Labor in getting the cover off, tensioners are more $$ etc....

I'm confused, other threads on this forum suggest the major service for MY07+ is at 112,500...also people seem to be saying the H6 doesn't normally need chain replaced at 100K (see: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=11084).

Am I missing something?

Yes it is a chain. This doesn't need changing.
But from what I hear the h6 spark plugs are a bitch of a job, and can take a similar time to change to the timing belt on a h4.

I highly recommend having a look at Mick's car, it's definitely an amazing classy car to drive. I'm still pretty gutted to let it down
Sadly I had to turn it down due to budget reasons and extra money for myself :(

Timing chain on a H6 doesnt need to be touched until 150k providing the car has been well looked after.

I did the plugs in mine when I hit 100k, had my mechanic do it as I couldnt be bothered. The reconmended ones are expensive though, it was about $220 for all six.

My car is now on Carsales mate.

It's not a Spec B but has been modified to go and handle better than a stock Spec B.
