Torque & ELM 327

Postby NRV155 » Fri Jan 24, 2014 2:16 pm

So i got the ELM 327 obd2 connector and Torque free app but Torque is not showing any data when connected. It says its connected to the ECU and reading it fine but it obviously isnt. How do i get torque to work properly?

Yes. None of the dials or any display i have work but at the top of the app it says its connected. It also says multi ecu found before it says connected.
Has anyone used the ELM 327 with torque successfully in their libs? Should i buy the full version of torque or is the ELM just a shitty connector?

press the menu button, press more then "Reset dials to default layout" i had that problem. dont expect all the dials to work. that obd2 scanner mostly works for scanning any fault codes.

I've got a cheap ELM 327 and the free version of Torque. Works fine for me.

Are there some other settings in Torque you haven't set?

I didnt fill in the weight as i dont know what it is. Any chance you can post your settings and ill give them a go? Mine are pretty much default. I just changed the RPM to 8000 and engine capacity to 2.0.

none of that crap matters.

go to the add display, and tell it to only show you supported sensors

there should also be a couple of larger displays that show you a lot of things like rpm, speed, IGN advance, etc
try one of those to see if it is getting any data, or O2 sensor status

Thanks for the links guys. I had a quick read and I'm just glad I only spent $8 on that connector, Lol.
