Yep and i only saw its condition when i swapped it for the spare!

Just got Bridgestone Potenza S001’s fitted, plus a new 235/40/18 on the spare. After 20km’s of driving its fair to say I’m extremely happy with them. The noise levels alone are a world of improvement over the 123s. Keen to see how they hold up in the hills.

Great price! Beats the hell out of a 225/40 that's for sure.
Might have a look round here in Perth see if I can pick some up myself for a similar price.

Yeah i’m really happy. It’s a contributing factor to why i didn’t get 19”s!
I could have actually gotten the same tyre for $220 at a near by shop, although they couldn’t supply them today (which i needed).

x2!! Impressive pricing...I think I got a quote for the S001s in 225/40 and it would have been close to 350 per tyre IIRC.

Genome’s installed this afternoon- A big thanks to Mark for organising them.
Bolted up perfectly, some WD40 on the hangers and half an hour was all it took. The right muffler hanged perfectly, the left took some tweaking but i will correct it further with steel hose clamps instead of cable ties.

First impressions... love the look of them, it makes the rear of the car look so0 much PHatter than before.
And the sound... way different! The Hitech quads made their noise between idle and 5000rpm, almost silent above that.
The Genomes are silent from idle to 3000, and from then up till red line they scream! Overall i think they’re quieter than the Hitechs in terms of maximum Db.
They aren’t as flat sounding as the Hitechs... “screamier” is the only way to describe the comparison. Although when they get hot, they sound pretty similar and gain some more noise.

I’ll post a video shortly.

I fitted a 235/40/18 to my spare 18 x 7.5 so I could have the same rolling diameter.
It looks fine. Just a bit fatter than the normal 215.
