There are many free online sites(legacy gt forum)where you can download the manual for the various models, or send me a pm of your email address and I'll send you a copy

niglube Subaru pdf

this will turn up locations where pdf copies of Subaru workshop manuals are located.
some will be Impreza, some will be Forester and some will be Liberty - Legacy

From my best memory the MY04 Gen 4 workshop manual does not cover the post face-lift items like the Variable Valve Lift engine components and the Six Speed Manual for the Spec B vehicles.
Otherwise the basic MY04 manual is excellent
I think I have a copy of an MY09 USDM manual that covers both the VVL 2.5i and the 6MT for the Spec B.
