Hanging out with the big kids now.

Hi All,
I picked myself up an 07 GT-B sedan a couple of months ago and have been lurking around here gathering info since then, but it's time to come out into the open and say g'day before I get busted as a perv (on all of these nice cars that is)
I've been around Subys for a long time, from the old 4wd Leone wagon we took around Australia,to Legacy GTs and for the last 7 or 8 years a 92 RS Liberty that had a long list of mods and was super fun to drive. However the wife and kids didn't quite share my love of 20 year old, loud turbo Libs, so thats where the GT-B comes in and now we are all happy!
The car is in great condition,80,000ks, fairly stock except for a TD05 16g and I have put a STi front lip and rear boot lid spoiler on it since picking it up.
The original plan was to go ahead and mod this car like my last one, but since owning it for a while I'm actually really happy with how it looks and since having Matt tune the car a couple of days ago I am now really happy with the way it performs.
So at this point in time all future mod plans are off (except maybe a decent dump pipe and silicone intake and......) well you know what I mean!!
So I look forward to learning more about these cars and hanging out here a bit for a chat and getting lots of new ideas.
Cheers

Pic are to come, just not that organised yet.
Turbo is actually an Kinugawa. It was put on by the previous owner after the VF 46 starved of oil from a blocked line.
Pulls hard now after a tune, and comes on boost super smooth, so I'm impressed with it so far. Longevity might be the issue,so we will see how it goes.

13psi in its current form, it is not exactly stressed!

Yeah, you are right Matt, 13 psi is hardly going to stress the turbo (I'm still searching for that other 3-4psi by the way :) ).
On the longevity issue, I was more referring to the lack of objective information out there on the quality of the Kinugawa turbos. The assumption seems to be that because you can buy them on Ebay, that they are a "cheap Ebay turbo" and are not as good as some of the other brands out there.
The one in my car runs great and so far I'm very happy with how it is performing, but it will be interesting to see for how long it does that!

Hahaha yeah thanks Dan!
I've had the car a couple of months and gone front lip, rear spoiler, VBG1, KiDo tune and little tweaks here and there, so things are not looking too promising on the no mods front.

Rear lip I got from Japanparts. It was about $500 landed, genuine STI and was able to order it already painted in the satin pearl white to match the car, so it was just bolt on, no extra cost to have it painted ( the pearl white is a real PITA to match)
I think though they were only available in the black and white, not the full range of colours.
I saw a genuine STi one on ebay the other day for around $200 unpainted, might be worth checking out.

Looks great :)
However, needs a low-profile front plate, mounted a bit higher...

Slim line plates would be nice, just not sure I want to shell out the coin for them at the moment :)
Mounting the plates a bit higher is definitely on the to do list though.
