Brake Rotor size on MY08 Lib STi?

Postby AdamW » Mon Jun 30, 2008 4:23 pm

I have tried the supposed specialists and sent some emails off to Subaru, all too no avail so far.. This forum seems to be the pace to get answers..

I want to get some DBA 4000 series vented, slotted and cross drilled brake rotors but no one can give me the size rotor I need???

Subaru Australia should simply post a link to this forum from their web page, and direct all queries here..

These is nothing on the Brambo websites that refers to the Lib STi brake package & what size the rotors are.. There were not enough of them made for anyone to care about mentioning them.. I even rang a few brake specialists and they are having trouble finding out the sizes of the rotors..

Not sure if it'll be the same, but I got Brembos and following DBA 4000 products were used to fit it.
Front DBA 4654SL 4654SR 316mm
Rear DBA 42657SL has 170 mm hand brake instead of the WRX Sti's 190 mm hand brake. Not sure if Liberty GT STi 08 has 170 or 190mm.

Have PM'ed PHAT GT..

Also from Subaru

MY08 Liberty GT Spec.B tuned by STI. The front assembly is comprised of a 326mm vented rotor with a high capacity 4-pot Brembo calliper. The rear assembly uses a 316mm vented rotor with a 2-pot high capacity Brembo calliper. These components are the same as those used on the 02 Impreza STI model and provide remarkable braking performance and endurance.

DBA parts -
DBA 4654 SL / SR
DBA 4655 SL / SR
Are the 100mm PCD STi rotors

I have also been told that the EBC TGD brakes are pretty good..

How about a STi 6 pot front brake kit (Brembo exclusive 6 Pots mono-block calipers + STI Racing Brake pads + Multi-grooved Rotors + STI Stainless-mesh Brake hoses.)

Woops yup Adam your part number is correct, same as the ones I used.
I found the email here
"If they are the factory Brembo calipers off the Sti then they will bolt straight on. The rotors for the front are DBA 4654SL/SR which is the Sti rotor with 5x 100 pcd. The rear rotors for this conversion are DBA 42657SL/SR which is the same as the DBA 4655SL/SR except they have a 170 mm hand brake instead of the Sti's 190 mm hand brake.
