They do not have an EGR valve.

What have you been told is wrong?

No EGR on this model.
Miss under load is more likely an ignition fault. Spark plugs due every 100k, when were yours last done? Next on the hitlist is checking your coil packs, one may be weak or the rubber boot worn allowing the spark to arch out on the spark plug well ( this can show up as little 'tracking' marks on the boot or spark plug)

MIS under load likely to be coilpack going bad. (Happened to me)
Under load the fuel mixture is stronger and the arc is harder to create by a weak coilpack.

To know for sure take the plugs out and gap them smaller. The misfire should stop.
I suggest getting 2 coilpacks to borrow, change one side of the engine first.
IF no misfire replace these two back with your old coil packs and repeat procedure on other side.
if on the other side it stops, swap one of the two with one of your originals. If it has no misfire then it means it is the other one that is out. If it misfires, then it is the one u just put back in.

Also, could be cracked spark plug.

Your problem lies in the ignition, but could also be fuel pump filter (doubt it)
