Best tune/tuner for 3.0

Curious on What ppl think the best place to go for a My07 3.0 specB
I'm sure they all have the pros and cons just wanted a little more insight on What ppl though

Stock as a rock 6 speed MY08 manual wagon. Love the SI drive, but wondering how more can be squeezed from it.

Pending the outcome of suspension mods which will be the deciding factor in whether I keep the car in the longer term I'm interested in this as well. Don't plan on the Raptor SC route so want to keep it simple and NA, with Raptor headers, 3rd cat delete with Y pipe and stock tips to keep the sleeper look. Car currently running very well but drinking like a greedy whale in urban driving so am interested in achieving the best possible power/efficiency/reliability outcome.

Might be an increase in responsiveness but negligible power gains with changing the exhaust, UNTIL you get the tune done. Then you will reap the benefits.

In regards to intakes, look in to what Tim has been trying with the Raptor based cars.

No. (tips not muffler)

Mufflers, so negligible it would be impossible to actually measure under real world circumstances.

The tune itself is going to benefit you the most regardless of mods. A lot of people do not understand that a factory tune is supposed to be a compromise, and be the most "logical" for all factors.
Parts longevity/warranty issues, emissions, fuel efficiency, drive-ability, power. Roughly in that order I would assume.
The assumption being that these cars need to be driven by the most retarded, uninformed people living on this earth, and still function for long enough to get past the warranty period without blowing up, even if it's being driven hard on cold starts, for only short trips, with dozens of hot/cold cycles every single week.

See what I mean?

An ideal tune will be based on how you drive the car, and will hopefully give you dramatic increases in power and fuel economy at a little to no cost of longevity or drive-ability.

If you are willing to put in the time to assist in logging your vehicle, a tune from the likes of Kido tuning (Matt) or Torqued Performance is a cheap but effective way of tuning via remote tuning. However I would strongly suggest a dyno & road tune combination for the most safety. Things like Air/Fuel ratios are very important, you don't want your car running too lean or too rich and causing damage. Kido Tuning can do the dyno + road tuning, TP cannot as he is based in the US. But from what I have seen his tunes are very safe to accommodate for the lack of in person diagnosing.

As for tunes in Sydney, there is Scott who works closely with Garage 88 (the owner being PHAT GT of this forum) and of course Michael South Racing (MSR), both get a lot of great feedback from customers. I personally have never used either, but if it's good enough for PHAT then you can bet it's good enough for you. Same goes with MSR.

Pretty much stock some hurricane mufflers which I assume will have no benefit from a tune and racing logic coilovers.. will be getting the new headers tradewind (Raptor) is releasing soon..kido tune comes to Sydney a fair bit so I would meet up with them.
Will also go with the air intake that Raptor are in the mix of creating

We found out this week TP stole my Copyrighted DBW maps, Target Boost and WGDC column design for use in customers cars, as one owner was having problems(that I had to sort out) and another NSW Dyno tuner who was using my Accelerator Pedal maps as their own work who is being retuned next week after finding out the knock protection system IAM system was disabled with the LV values. Imitation is the best form of flattery and all that

I actually own an 08 H6(not to mention another insane non turbo 6cyl) and spent more time testing the H6 on the dyno and on road tests since I bought it 9 months ago then what I spend driving it to the shops etc.

It is posible to get fantastic fuel economy and best of all, have the engine pulling hard from 1200rpm to 7000rpm with ease, no more 3200rpm to 4800rpm power band

With the number of H6 retunes I have done, I must be doing something right

Is a tune more likely to cause pinging later on in life or help prevent .

no,
the factory tune pings it's head off even on 98RON fuel
tuning them makes them safer, and because the ECU isn;t pulling timing out of the maps all the time, they're much smoother, ecenomical and powerful

I got my 3RB street tuned by Matt (KiDo) and I'm very satisfied with the results; he cleaned up the DBW lag, got rid of the factory tune pinging; and gave it a bit more low end torque. I drive became usable too. Overall, the H6 pulls smoothly and cleanly all the way to redline. There was an issue with timing chain rattle initially, but that was sorted with a subsequent tune that changed the cam switchover point to about 3000rpm where there's more oil pressure. I check LV every now and then and the IAM's held up nicely at 1.0
