Hey G

And yes this is the exact one that has gone kaput. Only been in the car for 6 weeks. WTF

Have a replacement on the way under warranty, be here Monday.

G and all

Any tricks on getting the pump out of the cradle, it is proving to be a PITA. Matt suggested 2 slim screwdrivers up each side to release the tabs holding the pump in.
But so far no success.

I don't remember killing any chinamen (sorry im by no means a racsist ) in the last few weeks, but sure feels like it with these extra dramas.

Will do an update on S/C dyno day when I have some more time and im not feeling frazzled.

Thanx all for ur help and encouragement so far.

2 small screwdrivers worked for me, but took me bloody ages both times to get the pump out.

Re: Member Profile - Pudz RSC3.0RB Dyno Day

Postby PUDZ RSC3.0RB » Thu Nov 28, 2013 11:19 pm

Dyno Results

Day 29*C & 75% Humidity

First 4th gear pull produced 185 atwkw on Matts road tune. From here Matt worked on improving low - mid range torque.

Final run produced 182 atwkw but by this time Lib was suffering significant clutch slip. Clutch was fine over the next week or so on road pulls.

Car has pulled really strong from 3200 - 7100rpm in this time and my bum dyno suggests closer to 200 atw. :D

Here's a couple of vids of the Lib on dyno.

Last few days the stock centre muffler has self destructed inside and is leaking externally so affecting tune and performance. Could dyno runs have f***ed it ?
Conservative running till I have a fix organised.

Cheers mate

yeah one more little PITA, I have a good 2nd hand one on the way from Jarrod's part out 3rb.

Btw have you upgraded the mid-pipe, rear y-pipe and still running the stock centre muffler.

Ive been advised by a few to keep the centre muffler at all costs, otherwise noise is out of control. Im luving the sound now, so don't want it to change.

Grant,

You may want to look into what Mark (MH3.0R) has done re a full custom exhaust as he is also boosted and wanted flow without stupid noise levels. Have a read from here onwards, and sound clip after custom exhaust:

Grant,

I have s/s xforce cat back with magnaflow mufflers. I'm going to be replacing the xforce center muffler with something like what mh3r did, as I have slight drone that is starting to annoy me.

Yeah G worked out I had to fully remove the top of the cradle, leaving just the pump and internal cradle if that makes sense.
Then access to the top of the pump with 2 small screwdrivers is much easier.

Ended up just welding in a cheap n good 2nd hand centre muffler from a GT. Exactly the same dimensions as a 3.0R.
