Re: Member Profile - Pudz3.0Rb P/S WARNING

Postby PUDZ RSC3.0RB » Thu Nov 07, 2013 10:25 pm

Oh yeah, forgot to mention this. Warning Warning

Dont ever drive ur Subaru if u discover any fluid aeration problems. Ie air leak in p/s system with fluid overflowing the resorvoir. The pumps are very sensitive to any cavitation and driving the car even what u consider a very small distance will most likely render ur p/s pump buggered.

I found this out the hard way. Get the car towed, leaks fixed with new o-ring(top of pump), new hose clamps on low pressure hose and even a new flexible hose(pirtek or similiar), then top up ur fluid and bleed with wheels off the ground turning lock to lock. Making sure its all working well before driving. This might just save u a costly pump replacement.

End of my rambling

Re: Member Profile - Pudz3.0Rb Pic Updates DM100 Touch

Postby PUDZ RSC3.0RB » Fri Nov 08, 2013 11:50 pm

Thanx guys. More updates next week.

I also received my Multigauge from PLX Devices last week. It is a DM 100 OBD2 touchscreen. Pretty awesome bit of gear :D , im only up to speed with about 20% of it so far.Its plug n play and has up to 26 OBD2 parameters. It can also Read and Reset Check Engine Lights and codes. Ill get some pics over the weekend to post.

Updated Pics

Some pics of the gauge set-up. Camera doesn't really like the digital display of all the parameters.
Lots of wiring I know, will see how it goes and then decide if I run them all behind the dash and the module maybe in the glovebox.

Latest Raptor Supercharger related mod. DIYed a heat barrier shield between the inner guard located pod filter and the engine bay.
Charger and front bracket uninstalled for this job. I used some 12mm formshield purchased from Clarke Rubber.

Also upgraded to a GT Bonnett a few weeks ago when the Lib was having a clean up in the panel shop. :D

Hopefully will lower engine bay temps a few degree's and help some heat escape with stop/start driving. In essence helping to lower AIT's.

Yeah, the PLX gauges are awesome. I thought I showed you mine but I think you were a bit preoccupied screaming like a girl in the passenger seat with my driving :p

Fark, that's not good. A lot of forum members including me, are using the DW65c fuel pump.
