I had the exact same mod on my intake, except I kept the fog light and modified the grill to make if flow through (grind the grill cut outs), it was a larger surface area to draft more air.

got a photo? i plan on doing the left hand side of the foglight over the weekend.. actually drilled one out yesterday for a test.

Just read the whole build mate. Awesome watching it unfold into what it is today. Its fun seeing it progress and change as you learn more and get new ideas for the lib

looks the goods mate well done. And looks trumps with all the spray painting you have been doing good job. Have given me some ideas for the sedan

Hmm, I go away for just over a week and it seems my thread has attracted dem bitties... EDIT:it's been removed!

BBB is on the money. I currently have the shift pattern blu tacked to the ash tray and will only bring it out if the po po pulls me over. :)

Senator, that'll be the next stage. Eventually I'd like to put the foglight back in and make that grille functional by grinding or drilling the grill holes open. It'll be a bit more stealthy.

Thanks Daniel. I guess the long journal of the modifications of this car is just a direct result from spending too much time on these forums.

So I spent a bit over a week away from the car and I missed her dearly

So I went back to an old favourite photoshoot spot but this time with a DSLR rather than my phone to get a few shots.

Must say, I'm extremely happy with how she sits now.

Love how much has changed since the last time I came to this spot in June. Clicky link here.

Did a bit of engine bay work today.

Blue silicone coolant pipes and hoses.

As seen in the first pic, the existing hose going to the top coolant tank had expanded and were deteriorating. There's no coolant ancillary hose kit for the LGT so I bought a 08+ WRX hose kit. The main radiator pipes fit perfectly but the smaller hoses, not a single thing was an exact match. Anyway, I made do with what hoses I could utilise.

After: (I may have gone a bit crazy making a few extra bits blue lol)

I love taking videos of the Lib after using upper engine cleaner. Because 1) you can't always see all the crap coming out your exhaust and 2) because exhaust noise :D
