It actually has another cool feature with the keys potential... E85 tune on one key, 98 on other key

Until you drive the with the wrong fuel key combo.

Then you're up for an engine rebuild..

Costly mistake for picking up the wrong key.

This is would be a concern. The way I see it, if you have E85 left in the tank, dont let anyone else drive the car till you refill with 98. In theory it would be ok, but I reckon the key/tune combination will work the best with normal fuel, in connection with those with kids who are new drivers, or valet mode.

Still has the self blending feature anyway, it just removes the hard reset button procedure for each fuel. Liberty still has the BIU putting up the graphic on the LCD display, FXT has the Coolant Light flash, STi Impreza has the LCD display etc

New clutch being fitted next week(the cars 3rd with less than 105,000Km's on it) as a rivet has broken and dropped friction material :(

Exedy Hyper Single VF should match the engines power output plus give better clamping load when the clutch is dropped on launch but offer outstanding FFS capability as well!

What clutch is coming out of it, Matt?

Inevitably, my clutch is on the way out too. Started slipping a few weeks ago so haven't been able to hit full boost in S and S# since then or else it'll slip like a b!tch.
It's fine in I mode though :D amazing how the power delivery is so much more gentle in I mode even though I'm still hitting small amounts of boost.

Might have to pick your brains out about clutches and what replacement I should be looking into 8)

Regular Exedy is coming out, lasted 30,000Km's which included the TD04 on E85, VF56 on E85 and now the GTX on E85.

Variable Friction clutch. Drive it normally, it drives like a normal clutch off boost with slow clutch engagement but drive it hard with fast on/off clutch movements and it bites hard.

Ever considered a double plate clutch? I've heard good things (though never felt one in person). :)

Got one in my track car
Image
Wife does not like driving it, too ON/OFF plus too jerky for a sleeping baby

Also twin plate is 50% more price wise.

Update time

New Torsen Front and upgraded Centre diffs I fitted while the gearbox was out have been performing flawlessly, the 2009+ WRX rear diff is going to be upgraded to a Torsen in February.
Entra Imports / Kartboy longer Hangers installed to drop the rear mufflers a little

Noticed my tune was running really rich, turns out it was the rear O2 sensor still unplugged and making it run rich as the CEL was turned off during my flex fuel testing. Took it up and down a windy mountain road with nothing over 3rd gear all weekend giving a good thrashing, still gets 14L/100Km(just over 400Km from a tank) on pump E85 and 8's on the highway

Pretty happy with the car as it is at the moment, maybe some new tyres and possibly a respray(wife wants a purple pearl over factory Newport Blue)
